Sara Al Zarooni – Director – Data Management & Compliance Affairs at the Dubai Data Establishment | Digital Dubai

Sara Al Zarooni is a well-known leader in the fields of smart cities and digital transformation. Currently the Director of Data Management and Compliance Aairs at the Dubai Data Establishment, the entity leading Smart Dubai’s data eorts, Al Zarooni has been leading the Dubai Data Initiative since 2017. Collaborating with over 350 Data Champions from the government and private sectors, Al Zarooni has played a role in the launch of Dubai Pulse, the city’s digital backbone which hosts over 700 datasets today. Prior to her role at Smart Dubai, Al Zarooni was the Manager for the IT Project Management Oce at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. Al Zarooni holds a B.Sc in Management Information Systems from the University of Sharjah. In addition to her day job, Al Zarooni is also a member of the Dubai Leaders Program launched by The Executive Council of Dubai to train, upskill and prepare the next generation of Dubai Government leaders.

Essam Mohammed Albishi  is the Director of Data Management & Artificial Intelligence department  at Saline Water Conversion Corporation SWCC. He received his  master degree in Computer Science – Software Engineering from Ball State University in the USA. He has more than 13 years of career experience. He started  his career as technical developer then he moved to Business Intelligence and now he is leading the organization’s roadmap in adopting Artificial Intelligence and it’s digital transformation. Essam  is interested how in adopting and applying  the fourth industrial revolution technologies supported by AI in water desalination industry . Essam is  holding the DAMA certification in  Data Management Professional  and an IBM certification in Data Science Professional.
