Session Outline

Domain Driven Development is a foundational building block in creating modern systems, which expose their capabilities through APIs. The platform vision takes that to the next step: building service ecosystems that generate and evolve the value. Data architectures have not been following this trend, and the popular data lake variants lack the expressive power harnessed in domains and platforms. We show how we expand the notion of platforms with modern data mesh oriented approach to accelerate analytics insights for the applications in the cloud.

Key Takeaways

  • The evolution from APIs to platforms
  • Data architectures for platforms
  • Domain and platform oriented data architectures accelerate insights and agility
