- the main challenges in Pharma regarding data are that it is scattered, lacks ownership and is hard to find
- the tech stack chosen needs to support users with skillsets that range from tech- fluent to tech-savvy
- Cloud services and SaaS products do the heavy lifting, while in-house automation scripts and reusable components serve as a facade
Alexander Zafirov – Lead Data Engineer | Leo PharmaA software engineer with experience across various industries and organization sizes at varied stages of growth. My journey starts as an engineer working on core software components – most notably at the social media management platform Falcon IO. Eventually, I transitioned into the data space, building processing pipelines for data products with different specifications and constraints at leading provider of airfare data – Infare. Currently, I am the Lead Data Engineer at Leo Pharma’s R&D, Data & Analytics unit. My work focuses on enabling the digital journey of the company – assembling the right technology stac that caters for all the different needs across the organization, documenting standards for data operations and implementing processing pipelines that power data products.
