Speaker Bio

Anna Baecklund – Head of Data Science | ICA Sweden
Anna Baecklund is a data science leader interested in growing data talent while creating an inclusive environment. In her role as Head of Data Science at ICA Sweden she is responsible for leading innovation using data science.  Anna has long experience of driving the education and evangelism of AI across companies by envisioning and executing strategies that will improve business performance. Part of that has been to develop scalable processes to make data accessible across organizations, especially to non-technical stakeholders.  Anna is nominated to Female Leader of the Future as “one who has shown extraordinary results during the last years and inspired others”.
Maaret Malinen – Data Governance Lead | ICA Sweden
Maaret is a data professional with hands on experience from leading implementations of data governance in complex organizations. She assumed her role as Data Governance Lead at ICA Sweden in September 2020 with the goal to establish and accelerate the implementation of Data Governance that supports ICAs vision of becoming a truly data driven organization.   Prior to ICA Maaret had a role as Global Master Data Manager for Beckers Group where she was leading the implementation of a data governance function, as well as a master data harmonization initiative, on a global scale.  Implementing Data Governance and Master Data Management on a company wide scale often has vast implications on organizations and therefore requires carefully executed change management. Regardless the topic and scale, the red thread throughout Maarets career has always been around managing change. Over the years she has sharpened her change management skills, not only on implementation projects such as ERP and BI, but also on continuous development of business processes.
Sara Thiringer – Data Scientist | ICA Sweden
Sara Thiringer is a Data Scientist at ICA Sweden with an interdisciplinary background in political science, informatics and statistics. She is a code mentor and camp organizer in Pink Programming, aiming to bring more diverse perspectives into the field of data and analytics. She was part of the winning team in the AI for Gender Equality hackathon hosted by Vinnova and Women in AI in 2020 and has worked in a Lund University research project on consumer trust and data collection in retail. Sara is interested in developing fair and transparent machine learning, for instance by inviting and including non-technical domain expertise into the modelling process.
